Weird & Wonderful
Saturday, August 31st 2019
William King Museum of Art's Mini Art Park at Blue Ridge Buskerfest is a celebration of creativity and collaboration in art. Visitors will have the opportunity to add their own touches to a collective weaving on our mixed-media loom. They'll be able to contribute to a large PVC group sculpture. And, because we all know a picture's worth a thousand words, kids will be able to insert themselves into a very unique self-portrait!
Chrysler Museum's Mobile Glass Studio
Join the artists of the Chrysler Museum's Perry Glass Studio (Norfolk, VA) for a live glassblowing demonstration. Watch as these talented artists manipulate molten glass to create unique works of art and talk you through the process as they work. This is a unique opportunity for the public to enjoy one of the Chrysler's most popular events right in the heart of downtown Abingdon!
